What are the specific requirements for the safe operating procedures of foot-operated spot welding machine?

Publish Time: 2025-06-17
The safe operation of the foot-operated spot welding machine is crucial, and it is related to the personal safety of the operator and the normal operation of the equipment. To use the equipment safely, it is necessary to strictly follow the regulations from multiple aspects.

Before operation, the foot-operated spot welding machine must be fully inspected. Carefully check whether the equipment casing is well grounded to avoid electric shock accidents caused by leakage; check whether the foot switch is sensitive to prevent abnormal startup of the equipment due to switch failure; confirm whether the power cord and welding cable are damaged or aged to prevent fire or short circuit caused by line problems. Only after ensuring that all parts of the equipment are normal can the power be turned on for subsequent operations.

Wearing appropriate protective equipment is a basic requirement for safe operation. Operators need to wear special welding protective gloves to prevent high-temperature splashes from scalding their hands during welding; wear protective masks to protect their eyes from strong light, ultraviolet rays and splashes generated during welding; wear long-sleeved work clothes and insulating shoes to avoid direct skin contact with high-temperature parts and prevent electric shock, and at the same time prevent clothing from being caught in the equipment and causing danger.

After starting the equipment, do not rush to operate it. You should run it at no load for a while to observe whether the equipment runs smoothly and whether there are any abnormal sounds or vibrations. If you find that the equipment makes a harsh noise or shakes violently during operation, you need to cut off the power supply immediately and contact professional maintenance personnel for inspection and maintenance. Do not force the equipment to be used when it is faulty.

During the operation, welding must be carried out strictly in accordance with the correct process. When placing the workpiece, it is necessary to ensure that the surface of the workpiece is clean, free of oil and impurities to avoid poor contact and the deterioration of welding quality or sparks. When stepping on the foot switch, the force should be uniform and moderate, and it should not be too strong to prevent the instantaneous current from damaging the equipment or causing safety accidents. At the same time, other parts of the body should be kept at a safe distance from the equipment. It is strictly forbidden to put hands or other parts of the body close to the welding area to prevent burns from high-temperature electrodes or splashes.

When the welding work is completed or the operation needs to be suspended, the foot switch must be released in time to stop the equipment from working. When the equipment is not used for a long time, the power switch on the equipment should be turned off first, and then the main power supply should be cut off to avoid aging of components or accidents caused by long-term power-on of the equipment. In addition, after the equipment is powered off, do not touch the high-temperature parts such as electrodes immediately. Wait for them to cool to normal temperature before performing subsequent cleaning or maintenance work.

During daily use, you should develop the habit of regularly checking and maintaining the equipment. Although it does not involve specific data, you should pay attention to the operating status of the equipment, such as electrode wear and whether the line connection is loose. Once problems such as severe electrode wear and loose lines are found, the electrodes should be replaced or the lines should be tightened in time to ensure that the equipment is always in good operating condition.

Strictly complying with the safety operating procedures of the foot-operated spot welding machine is the key to ensuring personnel safety and stable equipment operation. Only by implementing every operating detail can we effectively avoid safety accidents while improving work efficiency.
